
Last weekend, UK-based web hosting firm, 1 & 1, unveiled its latest TV commercials, making its first ever TV presence. If we talk about promotions of web hosting on TV, GoDaddy is the sole other name, advertising the web hosting.
Press release states that the commercial targets small business entities, supporting its 1 & 1 Mywebsite, a website development tool. According to 1 & 1, TV commercial demonstrates its application in execution, developing a website within few minutes. Previous week, 1 & 1 improved its website to put in mobile optimization.
1 & 1 states that TV commercial is a means to reach out to a wider group of small business enterprises in UK and expects it to “be an ideal way to inspire business owners at a convenient time when they are able to think creatively and about their business development.”
1 & 1 internet CEO, Oliver Mauss, stated that “We appreciate that Britons running their own business, whatever size or type, have to work incredibly hard and are never really ‘off‑duty’ ‑they are always considering how to improve things. Our new TV campaign is designed to inspire them by showing just how quickly and easily MyWebsite can deliver a great looking, effective website.”
According to 1 & 1, its TV promotion costing around $50 million, is going to display commercials in Spain, UK, Germany, USA, Poland and Austria.
Press release reports that the commercials in UK were made by Jung von Matt/Elbe GmbH ad agency, which is located in Hamburg, Germany.

GoDaddy is famous for airing its TV commercial in SuperBowl where a 30 sec ad can be charged around $3 million. Previous year, SuperBowl ad of GoDaddy displayed the .CO domain.
