The web hosting service provider, CloudLinux, made an announcement recently claiming they had successfully released an exclusive Virtualized File System, the CafeFS3. The news was made known in Orlando during the Parallels Summit 2012 for a crowd of 1,200 esteemed individuals of the web hosting industry.
To ensure maximum privacy, CageFS makes sure that no user encroaches upon their neighbors and have no way to ferret them out either. Additionally, they also ensure that users cannot access each other’s settings like Apache configuration files. However, all this is done without compromising the environment they are working within. Besides providing optimum security, CageFS presents full functionality and privacy for a secure URC, shell and necessary backup.
“This is all part of our mission to deliver technology specifically developed for the needs of shared hosting companies,” said Igor Seletskiy, CloudLinux CEO. “Each shared hosting site gets security on par with VPS (virtual private servers), but without all the VPS administrative overhead. That, in turn, leads to a better experience for the customers, and better margins for the hosters.“
“Parallels strives to help service providers to be more efficient and secure,” said John Zanni, Parallels VP of Service Provider Marketing and Alliances. “We are very happy to collaborate with CloudLinux to improve the shared hosting experience.”
CloudLinux OS can be used with RHEL or Red Hat Enterprise Linux along with CentOS. It can also be incorporated with Parallels Plesk Panel and other control panels, presents some of the best upgrades and comes with a round the clock support staff ready to handle any tech problem thrown their way. CloudLinux 6.2 can be downloaded to use for 30 days from http://trial.cloudlinux.com/overview.
