Connectria Hosting Introduces Amazon S3 Compatible Cloud Storage

Web hosting firm Connectria Hosting, declared it has introduced its Cloud Storage suitable for all-sized enterprises.

PR reports that the cloud storage, introduced by Connectria, is compatible with Amazon S3 through the Programming Interface of Amazon Compatible Application, developed to be used with any tool or software package that is able to run on Amazon S3.

According to Connectria, the cloud storage, recently launched, is automatically copied to three individual disks on three different servers, existing in a cloud in order to save data from hardware failures.

The company further claims that its cloud storage service is compatible with SAS 70, SOX, SSAE 16 compliance, PCI and HIPPAA.

Connectria also claims to have the knowledge of the place where the data of its customers resides with the help of a “unique architecture”.

The CEO and acting President for Connectria, Rich Waidmann stated, “we are delighted to announce the availability of Connectria Cloud Storage. It’s quick, easy and affordable, with costs that are a fraction of the price of SAN, NAS or data backup solutions. We believe Connectria Cloud Storage is an excellent complement to our current hosting services and a compelling alternative to Amazon S3.”

Press release reports that this cloud storage service is charged at a rate of $14.99 monthly against 100 GB storage space and data transfers. According to Connectria, its pricing policy excludes the fee for complex transactions (DELETE, COPY, LIST, PUT and GET requests).

In the month of April when an EC2 outage happened at Amazon, Connectria introduced a trade-up program for the unhappy clients, using Amazon cloud services. Connectria announced a promotion of “buy 1, get 2 months free” for its cloud services as part of the agreement.
