The cloud storage service and solutions provider, Panzura, made an announcement on Wednesday stating that it is going to completely support Scality RING Organic storage’s infrastructure. The move was initiated in a bid to enhance the cloud hosting solutions provider with a large range of comprehensive solutions for organizations situated worldwide. Panzura made the move a few months after Scality’s release of a new adaptation of its own RING Organic Storage system.
The forge between Panzura and Scality marks a significant increase in the former’s cloud ecosystem since it provides Panzura’s customers with an extensive range of choice for storage providers. Customers will be able to access main date stores created using Scality’s object-based, highly-scalable storage solutions, RING Organic Storage. The feature tackles the development of unstructured data via speedy and affordable solutions.
Besides this, Panzura also offers a common file system that possesses complete read/write capabilities. This feature allows centralization of stored data in the Scality RING, while remaining available to clients at the same time. The File System Controllers also fit quite well with present data centers and edge infrastructure. In other words, it requires no process alterations or forklift improvements. The support also provides optimum security to data and sees to snapshot-based restore points, access control and performance for the entire network.
“Scality is committed to empowering enterprises and service providers to deliver on the extraordinary demand for storage of unstructured data from their employees and end-users,” said Jérôme Lecat, CEO of Scality. “The ability to handle scale and provide high levels of performance to NFS and CIFS clients, as well as between the distributed enterprise locations, is rare. Panzura helps us to deliver on our customers’ vision – infinite memory and seamless collaboration by enabling access to data from anywhere, anytime.”
