DreamHost Review: DreamHost have prices starting from $ 8.95 with unlimited storage and bandwidth offers. A wordpress platform and RoR gives you the kind of flexibility and scalability that you require to run your online business.
DreamHost Blurb:
DreamHost is owned by its employees. We’re a tight-knit family and we’re not looking to sell out to investors or media conglomerates or other gigantic companies who care more about the bottom line than providing solid web hosting.
Believe us, there’s plenty of those in the hosting industry already and you probably don’t want to get mixed up with them.
I was with dreamhost for over 16 months and started off with their shared plan, instability and blog outages caused me to upgrade to their Virtual Private Server (VPS) plan and I still had 6-12 hour outages per week. The support kept telling me to remove wordpress plug-ins, or switch from FastCGI to Mod_PHP and then another support person would recommend the opposite. It sometimes took 24 hours for support to contact you back via email and there is no phone number to call in for support. I wasn’t overly impressed and its a shame because you had full SSH access and control over your blog and websites, they had a decent control panel and some decent 1 click installers.
very bad Customer Service.
They will ban you and never reactivate even you make a small mistake.
Bluehost is better. I use Bluehost for 3 years and got some BAN because of misunderstanding about policy but they reactivate my account when I correct the mistakes
