Building up links is one of the most important things that you can do when you own a web site. So you must be creative in how you accomplish this feat. As we said earlier, people try many different ways to do this. They will comment on blogs, or they will build software and have it hosted on a web site somewhere. One of the more popular ways to accomplish this lately has been to write articles and have them hosted on a third party site. The articles would be about the same subject that your web site is about. Since Google and other search engines love articles with lots of words in them, this is a great way to keep your new web site highly ranked in the search engines.
Article marketing is not a new phenomenon but it is becoming very popular lately. All of the search engines love when people are able to feed them good, well written content. When you do that, Google will notice and set your page higher than others in the index. So it is worth, to either pay someone or to write the article yourself. You will see a tremendous upside when you do this. Since you are the creator of the content you know that it is original and you can also use it for your own site later on down the line. Google does not penalize duplicate content as much as they use to. There are too many large sites that have their articles syndicated all over the place for them to do that as much as before.
If you want to start marketing your new web site through the use of articles, it is very easy. The first thing that you want to do, is to find a couple of sites that are in the business of hosting third party articles. Once you have found several sites that do this, either create an article yourself or pay someone to do it for you. It does not have to be a Pulitzer prize winning piece of journalism but it should be an interesting article. You do not want your web site to be associated with articles that look like they do not make any sense. That will inspire less trust that the articles are linking back to. So make sure that the articles are well written and do not waste the readers time. After you have a couple of well written articles hosted on these sites, submit the link to different aggregator sites around the Internet. Sites such as digg and reddit. They will not consider it spam since they are informative and Google and other search engines will be able to find them very easily. After they are indexed, just wait for people to start to find them.
Article marketing can be a very effective tool in getting your web site to the masses. Once you start to build up an audience, you can make your site better and better, and then the people will start coming on their own and not because of an article.
