(Host Wisely Review): According to a recent statement by the Datacenter Dynamics, HP (www.hp.com) has proclaimed to make a heavy investment of $122 million for establishing a new data center in Sydney, Australia.
Reportedly, the step has been taken after the organization produced HP Hybrid Delivery solutions, a collection of latest cloud services and products produced for enterprises and other governmental institutions.
HP presented the planning documents for data center endeavor to the South Wales government in December.
HP has proclaimed that this endeavor will create around 200 job vacancies and the project will hopefully be accomplished in a year’s time. After getting completed, it will be run by 5 around-the-clock operations workers.
It will be situated in the V8 motorsport’s Eastern Creek Raceway with the area of phase one data center almost corresponding to nine tennis courts.
The construction process for phase one will be completed this year. The entire data center’s area if one analyze will be corresponding to around 45 tennis courts.
According to HP, this latest data center is meant to promote their cloud computing-based policy by employing $1 billion in world-wide infrastructure services.
In the mean time, Australian government also reported that it is in consonance with their National Broadband Plan and hopes it will multiply the number of people availing cloud services.
Australian Federal Communications Minister Stephen Conroy reported that HP’s data center is among some of the latest ongoing projects in the country.
On the other hand, the South Pacific managing director of HP, Paul Branding clarifies that this latest data center project in Eastern Creek which is said to be in consonance with the NBN is basically a part of the many strategies of the company to promote the services there.
