Those who have been using webhosting for several years might remember iPage from before they went on hiatus. The company launched once more in 2009, and has earned a top rank for itself in the industry since then. Thus far, they have garnered several impressive awards, and their dedication to providing outstanding customer service is second to none in the industry.
In May of 2011 Website Hosting gave iPage the Best Small Business Hosting award. When taking into consideration price, service, and value, small businesses can’t beat iPage hosting.
Reliability and Uptime
Like most webhosts, iPage offers a 99.9% uptime guarantee. They also offer their customers a pool of redundant servers, as opposed to hosting on just a single server. This ensures that if something happens to one server, your site is not inaccessible to visitors. In terms of reliability, it doesn’t get much better than this.
Value
For those seeking excellent value, iPage has quite a lot to offer. Their hosting plans are very reasonably priced. Just $4.50 per month gets you unlimited disk space, unlimited bandwidth, unlimited domain hosting and a free domain. In addition, you get a free online store, a free script library, solid marketing tools, unlimited MySQL databases, unlimited email addresses and detailed statistics and reporting on traffic.
Unlike some other webhosts out there, iPage doesn’t give their premium features to “premium” customers. Everything is the same for all users, which is definitely a nice touch and adds a lot of value to the company’s offerings. Their secure site certification is also a good feature for any customers that plan to have an ecommerce site. Finally, their site creation tools (3 different options) are immensely easy to use, and very worthy of your attention.
Support
In the realm of customer support, iPage also ranks very high. They offer support 24 hours per day through several different channels. For instance, you’ll find email and phone support, as well as chat support. For those who prefer to go it alone, there’s a vast knowledgebase that can be easily searched, and the company maintains detailed user forums that can connect you with the help you need. Of course, their money back guarantee is also a nice touch, and ensures that you don’t make an investment that doesn’t work for you.
Control Panel
While many users prefer to use cPanel, iPage actually integrates the Google control panel with their own control panel. This results in a powerful solution to managing, updating and interacting with your website. Google’s website tools alone are packed with functionality, and when you add in the rest of the features found here, the combination really is excellent. Of course, users used to cPanel or another solution will certainly have some type of learning curve to overcome, but it should not be a deal breaker.
Overall Rating
You’ll find that using iPage to host your site is a great decision. The system is enormously easy to use, and the company provides substantial support and help for their customers. Of course, it’s difficult to beat the low price and access to powerful features, too. In all, iPage ranks very close to the top of the industry.
iPage is probably the largest collection of idiots in support you can hope for. They don’t read support transcripts, they just start from scratch every time. Email servers are up and down like a coed dorm toilet seat. AVOID THESE FOLKS AT ALL COSTS – YOU DON’T GET WHAT YOU DON’T PAY FOR.
I am very satisfied with my experience with iPage. The customer service I received was excellent. It was easy to setup and maintain my webpage. I recommend iPage as a web host.
iPage is simply one of the most affordable companies on the market today. They have hosted about 30-40 of my sites over the years.
Never had a problem with them and always a pleasure to work with.
The value and they fact that they use cPanel are a great for me and many others, too.
Garen
I’m really loving the theme/design of your site. Do you ever run into any web browser compatibility problems? A small number of my blog visitors have complained about my blog not operating correctly in Explorer but looks great in Firefox. Do you have any tips to help fix this problem?
Like Garen, I too have around 20 sites hosted with iPage and have found that there customer service is first class.
Affordable, reliable and friendly.
iPage Support are RETARDED. Good luck having these guys LISTEN to you. So far all 3 occassions I’ve spoke with their “technical support” group have been a complete and utter waste of time. After explaining things CLEARLY, they turn around and shuffle it all around and mess things up further.. don’t bother contacting them.
Otherwise I’ve had no issues and they are easily accessible, but I just wouldn’t bother contacting them regardless… They really need to try and stop whatever other activities their doing and listen… maybe take an HDI class.
I haven’t use there services before.. has anyone here does for me to know if it’s good to go ahead
The problem with ipage is that they don’t gave a 99.9% uptime guarantee, which means that your site will be up only like 98% – 99% of the time, if you do the math that means that you might loose a lot of traffic on yearly basis.
O.k. yes some of them make money that way, but some actually will teach you how to make money online, you just need to narrow down which is the real deal and which is not. The people that say they made 10K this month, actually probably made a lot more than that, yes some comes from those products, but I will tell you that some comes from the right marketing.
I once tried the iPage, the control panel gives me access to tools for creating and enhancing website and get free advertising credits on top search engines, search-engine optimization tools, PC backup, malware scanning and security applications. So far it worked for me!
