An international IT infrastructure and internet hosting provider, iWeb.com, has declared about its new launch of Funio.com. iWeb shared hosting and domain name reservation services are being shifted to this new company, intended to provide reinforcement and support to almost 100 states across the globe, holding 15,000 customers, 23,000 websites and 32,000 domain name registrations.
iWeb President and Chief Officer, Eric Chouinard, explains; “I firmly believe that shared hosting must benefit from all the attention of a team of professionals exclusively dedicated to the development of the product. Funio will seize this opportunity to innovate and add value to the products as well as the tools that enable their delivery”. iWeb has paid great amount of attention, since a long time, towards its “Smart Layer” technology and services of dedicated servers.
“iWeb will pursue deploying all its efforts in this direction in years to come; thus, standing out through this innovation. However, the moment has come to provide our shared hosting customers a dedicated company who will take care of delivering the best out of the service,” he added.
By the new launch of Funio.com, the two companies have unequivocally confined their business goals to iWeb, providing services of dedicated servers and Funio.com serving as a shared hosting provider.
iWeb CDO and sales and marketing Vice-President, Sylvain Leclair, is now being assigned the designation of president of Funio.com. “Funio has a lot of work to do in order to finalize the transition, but the priority will be to add value to the shared hosting services by offering better support and tools that will allow the customer a better control over his hosting,” he mentioned. “Moreover, in the next year, Funio will add many new features to raise the value of the services received by the shared hosting customers. We will rethink our infrastructure, including the domain name management system who will undergo a long due facelift,” he added.
Funio.com will be in its sovereign position till 2012; until then the two companies, iWeb.com and Funio.com, will run businesses based on their intimate partnership with each other.
