Moroccan Hosting Provider Genious Communications Partners Up With Website Builder BaseKit

This Tuesday, Morroccan domain registrar and web host, Genious Communications issued a statement that they have partnered up with website builder BaseKit to create its GeniousKit web building service.

This move comes after cloud platform provider Gandi collaborated with BaseKit to release its website builder, to provide customers using iOS, the opportunity to create mobile-compatible sites.

Genious Communications, initiated in 2003, currently has five offices in Morocco and is making plans for increasing their reach to other Arabic-speaking countries. According to BaseKit, GenerousKit is the first web builder to be launched in North Africa, and it is sure to increase the customer base of Genious Communications.

“This is a tremendous partnership for us, not only because it marks an expansion into a new country but also that we are developing an Arabic version with Genious that will allow all businesses in the region to build their own websites really cost-effectively and with ease,” David Meers, VP of sales, BaseKit said in a statement.

BaseKit is being offered in numerous languages that include Portuguese and Spanish. BaseKit works in collaboration with over 40 web hosting providers, telecom companies and technology providers to deliver its website builder. Fairly recently, BaseKit made partners with Host Europe, HostGator and Netcetera. Most web hosting providers provide website builders as a free value-add along with their hosting accounts.

“We chose to partner with BaseKit as its platform is streets ahead of the competition,” Hamza Aboulfeth, CEO and founder of Genious Communications said. “We feel privileged to be the first to offer this type of solution in North Africa and are excited to also be developing an Arabic version of the platform with BaseKit which we hope to roll out later in the year.”

BaseKit showcases a WYSIWYG interface for novices, but also offers tools that enable more experienced users to create and edit HTML and CSS code. It has integrated social media features, over a hundred customizable templates and ecommerce capabilities.
