
IT business firm, Orange Business Services proclaimed on 22 November 2011 it is planning to invest more resources into Asia Pacific region to speed up its development strategy by focusing on Network enhancements, cloud computing, strategic partnership and Network related IT services.
According to a news report, Orange Business Services wants to make $1 Billion revenue from emerging countries, as a part of its international strategy, till 2015. While during this year, Orange has spent EURO 750 Million in its Global Network backbone and associated IT infrastructure. Orange claims that more than 800 business customers are already working on its Global Network Backbone and IT infrastructure. Orange Business Services are also working on a project to recruit customer-facing workers to concentrate on opportunities especially in thickly populated areas, such as China, India and ASEAN. Under this project, Orange has recruited around 200 workers in last six months, particularly in the areas of Sales and Customer Support.
Today, Orange has around 3000 employees working in 36 different countries to focus on High Speed Broad band, unified communications, contact center solutions, video services, security and mobile device management, etc. Orange Services has set up a solution center in Singapore for displaying solutions which focus on particular business challenges and it is planning to establish Beijing Solution Center by 2012. Orange Business Services will also finish execution of a 10G ring Network between Honk Kong, Japan and Singapore. This project will allocate vigorous bandwidth reallocation, improved SLAs, VPLs and 1G Access and after completion of this project, Orange Services will have interconnected regions of Asia Pacific, Europe and US dual 10G belts.
