PTS Data Center Solutions, the data center manager, made an announcement on Wednesday stating they had successfully launched the second version (Version 2.0) of their management program DCMMS. Since its release two years ago the Data Center Management Software Solution has served to enhance the organizational and structural infrastructure along with maintenance criterion for data centers.
“At the time we released DCMMS, there was a gap in available Data Center Infrastructure Management tools,” said PTS’ President and Founder, Peter Sacco. “Today, data center operations personnel have at their disposal asset discovery tools such as No Limits Software’s RaMP solution, various real-time monitoring products, building management systems, and IT monitoring and management solutions. What’s missing, however, is maintenance-specific software for the data center. Two years ago we decided to address this specific niche with a product capable of supporting single site and many site data center operations.”
The version allows customers to use DCIM items and enables operators to manage and store all service histories, spare parts along with ideal methods for facilitating infrastructure operations. Additionally, the solution also comprises of IT management and preservation including automated schedule management, fulfillment of required parts, SaaS or Software as a Solution features and much more.
Additionally, the DCMMS also provides a unique platform for the enhancement or replacement of present data center operations methods and staff. It also comes with custom made services ranging from T&M site scrutiny to outsourced management staff.
At present, PTS is responsible for controlling a large number of data center facilities and strengthening their infrastructure at the same time via their new DCMMS solution. They also specialize in offering a wide range of other services such as engineering, planning, designing, monitoring, constructing etc for data centers across the globe.
