Recently, a renowned web hosting company, SoftLayer Technologies, pronounced that it is done with updating the edge network routers across the WAN. Reports revealed that SoftLayer ensured installing Juniper Networks MX 3D Universal Edge Routers to every service center. According to reports, SoftLayer is hopeful to witness a rise in the routing footprint by 400 percent due to this step.
According to the Vice President of network engineering at SoftLayer, Will Charnock, “Providing the best network performance and reliability is essential to our goal of giving customers the highest level of control over their infrastructure.” Charnock continued, “SoftLayer existing backbone routers were beginning to approach capacity. But rather than simply meeting those challenges, these upgrades boost performance, decrease latency, and give us capacity that will meet the demands of our growing customer base well into the future.”
