Ask them what the biggest web site they host is, and was it a problem for them to help scale it to that size. If they have no experience in dealing with a large web site, then you might be in trouble when that time comes.
The last thing you should worry about when it comes to picking a web host, is how to they handle their security?. When you have a web site that has even a little bit of a follwing, then you will start to attract the bad guys as well. They will try to sniff around your web site and find a vulnerability in it. To keep this from happening, you need to make sure that your web hosting company updates their software for security patches on a regular basis. Also do they have experience in stopping known web attacks that are used to bring down a web site of your size. These are all problems that can cause you to lose a lot of revenue, later on down the line.
