Web Host SingleHop CEO Recognized as Emerging Entrepreneur by Kentucky Tech Incubator

SingleHop, a web hosting provider, revealed on Friday that its CEO and co-founder, Zac Boca, was proclaimed as an Emerging Entrepeneur by the Kentucky Entrepreneur Hall of Fame. Awesome Inc is behind this Hall of Fame located in Lexington, Kentucky. The company deals in the development of creative and high tech businesses. They created Kentucky Hall of Fame in 2010 to commemorate commercial successes statewide. .

“It’s truly an honor and a humbling experience to be recognized by a group whose focus hits so close to home,” Zak Boca, chief executive officer, SingleHop said in a statement. The news comes about a month after SingleHop put forward the newest version of its proprietary client management platform, LEAP.

Boca was chosen to be given this honour due to his impeccable product and service innovations, financial success and overall assistance to the industry. Born in Bowling Green, KY, he graduated from Western Kentucky University after which he moved to Chicago to start his own web hosting company, midPhase. The project was a joint venture with SingleHop co-founder, Dan Ushman. In 2005 both sold off midPhase which had grown to more than 160,000 customers and $16 million in returns.

After this, they started SingleHop in 2006. The press release also mentioned that the proceeds for 2011 are expected to reach $24 million. The number of employees has also burgeoned by 75%.

 “I’m extremely grateful for my success and thrilled to see the entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well in my home state of Kentucky,” Boca stated.
