Webhost Shinjuru Introduces R1Soft CDP Backup

According to a press release released recently, the webhosting provider, Shinjuru, made it known that they had managed to introduce R1Soft Continuous Data Protection backups to its suite of services. Considered to be one of Malaysia’s largest webhosts, Shinjuru has supplied over 1,500 servers and 500 virtual private servers in the last year alone.

Incidentally, this revelation comes a mere month after the CDP backup introduced its Continuous Data Protection Data Center Console. The company’s decision allows them to reinstate servers straight from backup via ‘flexible file-by-file restores’ by utilizing CDP Enterprise Edition 3.0 with Bare Metal Restore potential.

According to the Global Marketing Manager for R1Soft, Domingo Martinez, “From the beginning, Shinjiru let us know that backup efficiency was one of the key attributes it was searching for in a backup solution. CDP 3.0 has definitely delivered on this front. CDP has shaved significant chunks of time off of regular backups. Shinjiru has also noted reductions in restore times, whether Bare-Metal or simultaneous restores. Ultimately, these efficiencies allow Shinjiru to better utilize its resources and improve customer satisfaction.”

Using backups provided by R1Soft proved to be beneficial for the webhost; the CDP is lighter on their network resources due to its duplication software. Administrators can also use its web interface to control a large number of server’s backup environment, draft backup schedules, restore data and unite recovery points.
